How to pair your mobile phone

To use your phone hands-free with SYNC™, you need to pair it first. Make sure your phone’s Bluetooth® is turned on.

If you have more than one paired phone, SYNC™ will ask if you want to make one your primary phone. SYNC™ will automatically connect to this phone first if there’s more than one paired phone in the car.

You can have more than one phone paired, so SYNC™ makes it easy to switch between any one of them.

More than one paired phone in the car? If you don’t have a chosen primary phone in the car, SYNCTM will automatically connect to the most recently paired phone first.

How to delete a paired phone

You can have more than one phone paired, so SYNC™ makes it easy to switch between any one of them.

How to automatically update your phone contacts

After you’ve downloaded your phonebook, just say a contact’s name to have SYNCTM call them. With auto-updating, your contacts will be updated each time you connect your phone.

Scroll and select Phone Settings by pressing OK.

Select Phonebook Preferences.

Even if SYNCTM is automatically updating your contacts every time it connects to your phone, these details are only accessible when that particular phone is connected.

How to speak to SYNC™

SYNC™ SUPPORT

How to speak to SYNC™

  1. Press the Voice button
  2. SYNC™ will say, “Please say a command.” When you hear the single tone, say a command in the direction of the microphone.
  3. SYNC™ will confirm the command or ask you to say another one.

Tips:

  • SYNC™ can only hear you when it’s in Listening mode, after you have pressed the Voice button and SYNC™ has finished speaking.
  • Don’t speak while SYNC™ is speaking, is it will not be able to hear you.
  • Try to reduce background noise while speaking to make sure SYNC™ hears the command correctly.
